With nearly 20 years of experience in strategic consulting, Carlos Ruiz has advised more than one hundred organizations, including major corporations, multinational companies, industry associations, and governments — on the design and implementation of lobbying, public affairs, and institutional relations strategies. His expertise lies in navigating complex regulatory and political environments, helping organizations strengthen their institutional positioning and protect their reputational capital.

A specialist in communication strategy and institutional reputation management, Carlos has held several senior leadership roles within LLYC. Between 2023 and 2025, he served as Head of Public Affairs for Spain and Portugal, leading multidisciplinary teams and overseeing high-impact strategic accounts. Previously, he was Deputy Director of LLYC’s Panama office and Assistant Director of the firm’s Portugal office, countries where he lived and worked for six years, gaining extensive international experience in Latin American and European markets.

Throughout his career, he has combined strategic advisory work with leadership responsibilities, managing cross-border teams and advising senior executives on stakeholder engagement, regulatory intelligence, and public positioning in highly sensitive sectors.
Carlos holds a degree in Humanities and Journalism, as well as a Master’s degree in Political and Electoral Analysis from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). He is also an academic contributor, serving as a professor of Electoral Analysis at Universidad Carlos III and teaching Lobbying and Public Affairs at Complutense University of Madrid.
